Applicant eligibility:
• Artists and curators regardless of age, gender, nationality, profession, or prior experience
• Individuals or groups using photos, video or installations with photographic elements
• Participants who can at least exhibit for 9 days (excluding holidays)
from April 8th to May 8th, 2022, including any of weekends and holidays.

Please note that exhibiting for 2 weeks or more is highly recommended especially since large number of visitors, professionals included, tend to visit during the first week of the festival.
• Applicants are welcome to apply for both the KG+ and KG SELECT.

Selection process:
• The screening process will be carried out by the members of the KG+ Executive Committee. The official result will be announced during mid to February 2022 on the KG+ website.

KG+ exhibition
• Information on the selected exhibitions will be featured on KG+’s promotional material (venue maps, flyers, website, etc.)

How to apply:
Applicants must arrange their own exhibition venues within the city of Kyoto. Please fill in and submit the application form on the KG+ website.
Please pay the application fee with PayPal. And settle in advance before applying and enter your PayPal transaction ID number on the form. All applicants will be presented with a ticket of KYOTOGRAPHIE 2022

Submission guidelines:
•
Applicants should gather the following materials in one single folder, accessible in an online storage format, and provide a link in the application form.


1.
• The artwork’s title (or title of the series), exhibition statement (English statements should be kept to max 400 words; please write in third-person), the artist’s profile and/or artist’s website.
Applicants are welcome to refer to the statements published on the 2021 KG+ website as reference.
# Note: In case of a group exhibition the information should be provided by the curator

• Exhibition floor plan (freehand drawings are also accepted) and photos of the exhibition venue. The document should be prepared in .pdf or .jpg format. Slight adjustments made to the plan during the actual exhibition are permissible.

• Proof of permission to use the exhibition venue: The document must include the following details: the venue’s responsible person’s full-name, personal seal or signature, venue address, a written statement showing the permission is granted to the applicant

• Photo images : Proposed exhibited works (5 – 10 jpg. files). The image files should be labeled as follows: serial number_artist name_image title_copyright=the series’ title

・Video : If you would like to make the presentation your exhibited works by video, please write your YouTube or Vimeo URL link in the file

Artist’s recent photograph (the image file must be labeled with the applicant’s name)

# Please note that all the materials provided may be edited by the KG+ office for publication. The KG+ office will be responsible for editing the content of all related material, including the promotional booklet.
