gaku | Workers

Working. It changes its shape and form depending on the country, region, environment, and culture, and its meaning and definition are uncertain. Is it to make money, to contribute to society? Or is it simply living itself? It seems inevitable that there is a hesitation. What I saw in the distant land -Afghanistan- was the muddy stream of life. A boy living hand to mouth by business following his father. A young man just cutting rubber and and earn a reward. An old man begging on the street to get money. I existed in the midst of the masses expressing their own lives. Their hands and their wrinkles were asserting themselves, and continued swimming in the muddy stream. Perhaps we are the ones who are drowning in the muddy stream.
