Yuna Yagi | EARTHSCAPE

The Japanese archipelago is surrounded by the sea, is long from north to south, and is rich in seasonal changes in nature. Behind the formation of Japan's rich regional traditional culture lies the lives of people who live in close relationship with the blessings of nature and disasters at the same time. People revered mountains, rivers, oceans, forests, rocks, and other natural features as gods, and prayed to nature, the source of life, as nature was beyond the reach of human power. I feel that this is still alive in the roots of Japanese spiritual culture. In this exhibition, the artist herself went into the nature of Japan and looked at the bare earth, not covered with concrete or asphalt, and captured the presence of spirits that he felt there, or the expressions that nature suddenly attracted. These photographs are displayed in the space as fragments of the earth.
